So you just need to trim the insulating tape to fit... I've heard that some people have had good results with this. Haven't been able to find it locally myself though... Let me know what kind of improvement you get (if any), sch as a reduction in temps running at 100%, or a reduction in TEC and fan speed at the same temps

@mikellini: Apologies for the late reply. Was assigned in a offshore job for a week. I'll do what I can about the insulation. Seems finding the Armaflex Insulation tape on where I am is kinda difficult. I wonder if I could use a thin neoprene sheet and double sided tape.

About the fan, I have this:

NMB-MAT (120x38)
Model: 4715KL-04W-B56
1.30A

Can I use this? The 2 fans that came with my Boreas had 4 black wires. Kinda difficult to sleeve since I'd get lost on which goes into which

Not sure, you'd be better off asking TheJon... I'm sure he'll see it.

Don't use double sided tape... Used the attached link for the insulated tape you need... -------> Armaflex Tape <--------

@Malkie: Thanks for the warning. Yeah, I didn't use double sided tape. I ordered those stuff and should be here next week.

I did finish my build, sort of. Running an overclock of 4.2Ghz (1.28vcore), I get idle temps around 47c, but the funny thing is, running Prime95 (or a full load), temps don't go above 57c. I am using the cable that goes directly to the PSU, not the MTEC controller. Am thinking I borked something. The board perhaps....
Anyways, further testing is needed. Hope I didn't damage anything....

Those temps are too high, way too high for Idle... With that vCore and mhz, you should be getting slightly sub-ambient coolant temps, and core temps about 9 degrees warmer than the coolant. Oh wait, the stock block might make the core temps a little higher, a degree or two... But yeah, something's pooched I'd say.
