I just bought a refurb eliminator today. I'm wondering if the quality of the refurb eliminator is better thab the original Eliminator, which seemed to have a high failure rate. I heard that the refurbs were using components that are found in the new Freezone Elite. Can anyone confirm this? I'm just a little apprehensive after reading some horror stories about the Eliminator pump having alot of problems! Also, is the 92mm fan easily replaceable?

Hey paulieg,

Sorry for the delay. As of November 7 2007 all retail and referb units are manufactured with the same components.

So, would you say that overall reliability of these units have improved since 11/07? Can you comment on failures rates b/t the older components and the newer ones?

hay man thier great eye got 2 of em
figgured no one in a shop wants to see a come back let alone 3 times so thier gone over pretty good and should have the latest & greatest pcb board on them in which case both of my refub's do

hard to beat these puppys for the bucks any way ya slice it

and ya to replace the fan just do it if ya want it plugs into the pcb board just like a fan plugs in to a mobo eye think

good luck

I'm using 3 Refurbed Coolit Freezone custom rigged on ONE pump...and they seem to work just fine...I don't have slightest doubt that refurbs are up to standard specially from the Coolit Boys...
