Well, another reason I will continue using Coolit products. As some may have stated, the pump calved and may not have been up for the task. And yes, it was an inconvenience. BUT, as Jon suggested to me in this thread, I RMA'd the Pure with absolutely no issues, and it was replaced PROMPTLY with a BRAND NEW CoolIt Domino. In a very respectable turnaround time.
I originally bought the Pure because the price was slightly higher than the Domino at most retailer, so I thought it might perform better. Nope, wrong. The Domino KICKS-ASS over the Pure. The Domino is almost silent at lowest fan setting and my i7-930 running at 4095mhz is idling at 37 degC, 61 degC at load. Turn the fan to high, and at 4095mhz, idle is 31 degC, load 55 degC. Much more quieter and better performance with the Domino.
On a scale of 1-10 I rate the Domino a 9 for a cooler in it's class. It didnt get a 10 because of the fan speed controler being on the inside of case, and the LCD panel (which is very nice) is not only hard to read at angles, IT is inside the case also! Cant be remotely mounted without warranty voiding mods. It would be sweet to have a 'quick connect 'panel that could mount wherever.
Anyways, thank you Jon for your prompt reply, and integrity of your company.
