This is something Im not sure about. I dont think it will be able to work with any TEC coolers unless it is able to communicate with Mtec through software for the simple fact that there is no where to plug in the peltier leads.

If so....

I was able to find out that our product development team is concentrating on the Maestro Product. Plans at this time for continuing support for the MTEC Controller Software is under discussion.

I will talk with someone about this. I think its very important to continue supporting the TEC coolers. It may be a niche product but those who have em, love em. And theres always more and more people wanting 1.

I hope they don't abandon the MTEC CC and TEC units. Like you said. Who have em, love em...

Plus I'm still waiting for a Windows 7 Gadget

I am sorry. I was leaving a post to answer a few items in this thread, but I believe I took too long and the forum logged me out.

There is a bit of discussion as to what Maestro is. Maestro is a software / hardware designed to work with the Vantage ALC and future products.
It is not the MTEC Control Center replacement as being suggested. It does not have the capability to control a TEC.

Some of the CoolIT staff have been discussing if there was a way to be able manipulate the MTEC with Maestro as a controlling software. I have been told that Maestro and the MTEC Control Center are not compatible running on the same O/S. I an not sure of the exact details, being it driver sharing or what the reason is.

I will continue to find out where we are headed with the MTEC Control Software and the future of updating for new processors etc..

that's unfortunate. I will only be buying maestro if it can integrate with the MTEC.

I was speaking with one of the programming engineers yesterday.

After removing the MTEC Control Software, you could control the fans speeds with Maestro, but it's being able to controll the TECs that Maestro is not set up for.

I will keep looking into this and keep you updated if I find out any more.

I was given a copy of Maestro to look at and get comfortable with so when it comes out I will be ready to answer questions.
Let me have a chance to look at it this weekend and see all the features.
