Red light on Chiller A 10 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
So I have the Freezone Elite installed and working. The MTEC is installed and working also, sorta. The Chiller B is red as it should because I am only using one. The power is blue and the USB is not lit. The issue is with the Chiller A light being red. When I open the MTEC control center, I have a red lamp on pump, green on fan 1, and gray on fan 2 as it is not hooked up. The information under the Chiller A where it shows Coolant temp, TEC power, and Fan Power all seem to be working correctly. The CPU temp accrding to the control center stays at a constant 32F. I have EVEREST Ultimate running and it is showing core temps between 77F and 79F which is right about where the coolant temp is. I am wondering why I am getting the red lamp on the Chiller A and the CPU temp doesnt change in teh MTEC Control Center.

Thanks,
Will

zedron,

I apologize for the issue you are having. The reason that your MTEC software shows red for the pump is because either the MTEC Control Center is not reading the TAC from the pump or the pump TAC is not working. Either way this problem does not affect performance. You can try put the pump in chiller B side to see if that fixes the problem, then you will know whether it is the pump or the MTEC CC that is not functioning properly. If it is the pump then you may need to RMA the unit. If it is the MTEC Control Center than that may need to be RMAd. Since our MTEC CCs are on backorder for about another week it may take more time to replace your MTEC CC if that should be what is wrong.

TheJon,

Thanks for the reply. I will switch over to Chiller B this evening. In the event that something does need to be RMAd, would I have to send my unit in first or would I receive the replacement first then ship out my defective one?

Thanks,
Will

UPDATE*****

Changed over to Chiller B side and I get the same issue with the pump not being recognized. I guess I will have to RMA the unit. Good news is that i updated the MTEC CC software to the latest version and now the CPU temp is working correctly.
